Y’all, it’s Sunday afternoon and this rain is so cozy!
Thanks to the rain I’ve got myself another cup of coffee, I am cozy in bed and a Fixer Upper marathon is on. #winning
Our Austin trip last weekend was so much fun! We celebrated a friends birthday, we all went to Rainey St. which in my opinion is so much better than 6th street. And on Saturday while the guys were out, the girls went to Lake Travis to zip line! The staff at Lake Travis Zipline Adventures are so awesome, they make the experience so much fun and really help you out if you’re afraid of heights!! This was my second time zip lining with them, and they made my experience better than the first! Liz our tour guide was the same guide as Miguel and I had in October when we first came (we were just dating at the time!) It made it even better that she recognized me! It was a mini reunion 🙂
That view was so beautiful, it was so hot out that day! The breeze from the zip line was much appreciated.
This week however has been pretty eventful. My stepdad suffered a heart attack during the week. He was rushed to the hospital and a stent was placed in one of his major arteries and he is doing so much better. It was a real close call. We are all very happy he is feeling better and back to being a serious dufus 🙂
Miguel is on his way back from celebrating a friends bachelor party in Austin, so while he’s away I decided to take a peek at our house 🙂
When we were customizing our house, we decided not to install the shelving that comes standard in our laundry room because I really want to add shiplap to the walls and then add some really fun floating wooden shelves. Well, we made it known that we did not want shelves, our project manager wrote it down as well (in red ink!) and y’all… they put in shelves.
So now, they have to redo the texture and repaint this room. It’s not a huge deal, just a tiny bump in the road. I just really wanted everything to go smoothly. So when they install the granite, I am definitely going to be there so they don’t drill an extra hole that we do not want.
On a more positive note, we have brick and stone up!!
It looks like a house y’all!! Just makes it even more real and hits me even harder that this is going to be our house! I can’t wait to move in and just be so proud to call this home.
This past week has been up and down, full of happiness and frustrations. But tomorrow is a new day, a fresh start. And… Miguel is almost home! (T-minus 10 minutes!)
