Holy Hayley Paige!
This past Saturday with the help of my bridesmaids, future mother in law, and mama, I said “YES” to the dress!!
As soon as we walked into Now and Forever Bridal I was so excited. And I knew exactly which dresses I wanted to try on since I am hardcore obsessed with Hayley Paige. Miguel really wanted me in a Fit and Flare or Mermaid so just to see how it looked, I tried one on…. and I didn’t like it ? so back to Hayley Paige we go!
Before Miguel and I got engaged I of course like every girl looked at dresses. The first dress I ever fell in love with was the Elysia Gown by Hayley Paige. That dress started my obsession!
The Remington was the first gown I tried on from her collection. The rose tones in the dress were so beautiful, and the illusion neckline like most of her gowns is perfect. This dress was the perfect first dress to try on and it set the tone for the whole appointment. Here’s a picture of me saying “hi” peek-a-boo style to everyone ?
In the end I didn’t pick this one, although it is gorgeous, it didn’t make me cry! I needed that feeling of the one.
When I had that feeling of, “this is THE dress” I totally cried. I mean when we were in the car accident I thought that I had lost Miguel and then I had to have surgery and this is not how I pictured it would be when I tried on my wedding dress but it is what it is. So seeing myself in that dress, knowing that this is what I am going to wear when I say, “I do” to the man of my dreams I just cried.
The dress is everything I have envisioned. I wanted something whimsical, romantic, and soft and it hit everything. And then they put a veil on me and it hit home for everyone. This dress hit all of my must haves and it was actually the one I wanted so badly. When I saw myself in it, I was like “wrap it up!” This. Is. My. Dress.
I had said, “yes” in 30 minutes! It was the fastest appointment my lady has had. After that I didn’t want to take the dress off, I walked around the store in it for a bit!
Overall I tried on the Remington, Elysia, Chandon, and Lorelei Gown.
And now I can’t stop staring at all of the pictures my friends and family took of me in it. I can’t wait for Miguel to see me walk down the aisle. And I can’t wait for all of you to see it as well!
Only 348 days to go!
