I can’t believe today is February 1st! 2018 is going to be AMAZING, Miguel and I have booked our honeymoon to Italy! We are so excited! We will be heading to Rome, Florence, and Venice! I can’t wait to have a romantic gondola ride in Venice! We also are going to Tulum, Mexico with our friends this summer! Gotta get this booty in shape! But, we’ll be in Italy before our Mexico trip so I am pretty sure I am going to be gaining about 10 pounds from all of the pasta, pizza, and gelato I will be consuming! But like they say, “when in Rome”. Okay, now to what this post is supposed to be about, our guest bathroom!
Nothing was wrong with the room before, it was just blank and empty. I wanted to add some different texture to it by swapping out the mirror that normally comes in all homes and apartments with a wooden mirror and add some greenery on the walls with planters. I found the mirror at Homegoods- of course, because that store has everything. And the planters from Magnolia. Miguel hung everything up for me because I literally would have just put a random nail in the wall just eyeballing everything.
When I used to live with my best friend like when I was 24, I had this large wall mirror and wanted to hang it on the wall- by myself, so I literally hammered 5 different sized nails on each side and hung the mirror up! It stayed up too! But that shows you just how little I knew about anchors and screws. Thank goodness for hubby.
If you saw my story on Instagram you were able to watch step by step how we hung these babies up. Miguel projected a light down the middle of the wall to ensure we were hanging them straight, then he inserted an anchor into the wall and then a screw into the anchor! So simple, it took 5 minutes to do! And the story is saved in my highlights under Home!
I am obsessed with the eucalyptus and overall with how our little makeover turned out! Something so small can make a large difference. Next project… who knows? Maybe the range hood finally! What projects are you working on?
